Exploring the Creative Process
This course is designed for those who want a year to train their hand in the visual arts. It is especially designed for those who are seeking to develop their passion for the arts and have a desire for the arts to be a central part of their future. These students may have limited qualifications in the arts but have acquired experience and are dedicated to their personal and professional artistic development. This course has a mixture of discipleship, business and creative modules to springboard them into their future in the arts. They will have opportunities to exhibit and go overseas to use their skills in a ministry setting.
Professional development in Visual Arts
Many Christians graduate from visual arts degrees with questions about their futures. For some, the dilemma of what to do next and how to apply creative skills in conjunction with their faith is often left unresolved. This Visual Arts course provides a structured environment for each student to develop their unique creative calling. The course offers the extraordinary combination of discipleship, development of artistic skill, exhibition experience, business training, development of a professional portfolio and personal mentoring and empowering. The lecturers are committed to equipping and facilitating each student to increase in skill, influence, maturity, anointing and confidence.
Graduate Vocational Internship
This course is for those who have graduated from our Professional Developement in Visual Arts course or who are already practicing professional visual artists. This year gives them the opportunity to fully explore the potential influence and anointing in their calling as an artist. They will be expected to continue their own professional studio practice whilst also working with the college lecturers and arts and communication team on some joint projects. The purpose of the internship is to establish some extraordinary pioneering artists who shape the future with us.
Timetable
This is a nine month three day a week part-time course with modules and mentoring to reach your full God-given potential:
Wed-Fri
AM: 9.30-11.30 - Prayer and Worship, 11.30 -12.30-Discipleship Module
PM:1.30-5.00- Creative Modules, Business and Tutorials
Tutors
To ensure that all the modules offered are an effective and valuable experience, Freedom Bath+Bristol has compiled a strong and capable team of tutors with experience in a broad range of ministry, creative and business skills.
Fees
Termly tuition fees of £750 totalling £2,250 for the year. For Graduate Vocational Internship termly tuition fees of £1200 for the year. Studio Space
You will be given the opportunity to live in centre of a creative community in Bath. We provide you with studio space, library resources, computer access and classrooms. All students are immersed in the life of the highly creative Church Freedom Bath + Bristol.
